As strangers, we pass by each other every day never giving a second thought to each other. We may catch the eye of another person and give a friendly smile, yet in some cases, they will break eye contact, put their head down and walk on by.
Some people may even come across another person with a different skin colour, beliefs, appearance etc. and may even go as far as to cross the street to avoid any kind of interaction. Possibly because the simply don’t trust the other person.
If you saw a man standing in the middle of a crowded pedestrian area with his arms wide open and eyes blindfolded offering only one thing, a hug of blind trust, what would you do, would you trust him enough to hug him?
Trust is at the heart of today’s complex global economy and it’s also in increasingly short supply in many of our societies, especially in our attitudes.
This was a surprisingly simple yet hugely effective social experiment. The idea, in short, was to test if the public were able to trust someone they’d never met before.
Regardless of who you are at that moment, this man only feels your presence, the warmth of another human being. He does not see skin colour, he does not see your clothing, he does not see your gender and he does not see who you love or what you do for a living.
Blind trust can build faith without regard to demonstrated reliability or trustworthiness. The more slowly that trust returns to our societies, the better and slow trust is more likely to have a solid and durable foundation.

Like many people I have ever known throughout my professional and personal life, you probably have dreamed of achieving something more that could be fulfilling for you. However, very few live the life of passion they seek.
It’s all too easy to lose track of the things that you really want whilst you’re stuck in the everyday rat race of life and conformism. Sometimes all we need a just a little reminder, a boost of inspiration, a motivational quick fix boost to get us excited and fired up so we start to take action and make it happen.

When striving to achieve personal or professional goals in life and not getting the results we want, some can find themselves with lost hope or even stuck in a rut. When broken down into 5 simple steps, it’s really quite simple how we can get ourselves back on track!
- Our thoughts determine our actions/behaviour
- Our actions/behaviour determine the results
- The results determine our experience gained
- The experience gained determines our thoughts
- We have option, we have choice, back to Step 1
The final step is the key, we always have the option to change the way we think, which in turn will reflect on our actions. It’s no secret at all, with a behaviour of positively focused actions, we are far more likely to get the positive results we want to achieve.
There’s a way to achieve more in life and achieve your ideals. You just need to have a little courage, determination, self-belief and positive thinking.

How you see yourself in your mind is what you are going to manifest in your life. You will never rise higher than your own perceived expectations. How do see yourself? Are you a positive, outgoing individual? Or are you a quiet little mouse hiding in the corner afraid of the future?
You have control over your mind and emotions, simply put you have the power already inside you to determine which path your life will follow. You can reprogram your mind through meditations, positive thoughts, saying or writing out positive affirmations. The word affirmations mean to make true. What do you want to change in your life?
Make a list. Number your list in order of importance to you. Decide what one thing you want to work on. Only one goal or dream at a time, so as not to overload yourself. It has been said that it takes only 21 days to make or break a habit. You could be only 21 days from your greatest successes! How great would that be? You may feel that you have a long way to go, but look back at how far you’ve already come?
I quote from my book, ‘Inspirations’, page 36: “Don’t stay locked away in a prison of remorse, of things done or not done, of choices made or not made. Let yourself be free and enjoy a brand new beginning!” And on the very next page, page 37, it says: “Now is the time. Do not delay. No more excuses, just start now!” And on page 49, I quote: “If you don’t take action on your dreams and ideas, how can you expect to manifest success? You must take the 1st step, no one else can do it for you! You’re never too old and it’s never too late to start. Seize the moment, and take that 1st step!
